I guess I just don't get this whole Sabres/Nolan thing. Who is running the show? Doesn't the GM plan the future of the team? Doesn't the GM decide who is on the roster, who goes back to juniors and what the philosophy of the team is? Are we rebuilding for the future or trying to win now? We pick up guys that our "Interim" coach wants. It seems that Nolan is making all of these decisions can you even fathom a new GM coming in and saying that he wants to bring in his own coach and own system after what has gone on the past two months? Nolan says Risto goes back to Roch. and Grigo back to Juniors. That should be the GMs decision not the Interim coach. What is the purpose of having Scott, Konepka, Ellis, Sulzer and the like playing if they are not going to be here next year? Nolan has his opinion about 18 and 19 yr olds NOT playing in the NHL. Sean Monahan has 12 goals as an 18 yr old. Seth Jones is playing great for Nashville. The game has changed since 1999. 

Nolan has them working harder no doubt but you need to be able to have talent play. We need to find out if McNabb and Ruhweidle are NHL defenseman. Let Grigs play a few games with the top six to see if he has developed since his last stint. Risto may play for Finlands Olympic team but needs to play in Roch? Zadorov is a stud. Let them play here now. 

We need a GM two months ago. Get one now and let him decide where the team is heading this year and next not a guy who is coaching for NOW.
